Pattern

The yearly migration pattern brings the first sign of Spring to my 6500 ft. mountain, Sand Cranes. This is another time I wish I had more zoom, every time I even stopped the car to get a picture they took off in the opposite direction. Shy Sand Cranes.

  1. I can understand the sand cranes, but why do you migrate to a 6,500' mountain, we don't do THAT is Australia. LOL

  2. I bet they were surprised when they had to stop in the snow!! What a cool picture...the sandhill cranes are migrating along the platte river about an hour and a half from here...hoping to get there over the weekend if we can find some time!! Beautiful image (I just love these guys)!

  6. I often see and hear the sandhill cranes as the migrate over our home but I've never managed to see one on the ground! Nice shot even with the distance.
