With all that I have been learning about light recently, (thanks to the great tutorials posted) I did not notice the light on the grasses here until after I loaded the picture onto my computer. Oh well, at least I did eventually notice it.
Th elayers of ight make this photo fascinating: teh bright sky near the horizon, and the dark sky near the zenith; the soft light on the distand snow, and the glow on the nearby snow and the grasses; plus the flickers of light from the buildings in the distance.
Oh Karen, this is really beautiful, the lighting is right on - I love how the grasses glow against the shadows on the snow! The lighting in the sky is drop dead gorgeous as well! Really nice light!
This blog is a personal challenge to learn more about photography. I am following the guidelines at Virtual Photowalk. My tools are all inexpensive or free. I use a Nikon point and shoot, the S620 and free editing software (Picasa and Gimp).
